VOTRUBA ARCHERY LLC

Your Trusted Archery Partner

At Votruba Archery, our story is rooted in passion, dedication, and a heartfelt commitment to the world of archery. Founded by Casey and Celeste Votruba in 2004, our journey began with a simple yet profound belief: that every archer, regardless of their skill level, deserves the best archery experience possible.

CASEY VOTRUBA

Owner

Casey Votruba's love of archery was ignited at the age of 10. As a young, eager archer, he embarked on a journey without a mentor, a pursuit filled with uncertainty and trial-and-error. His early days in the sport were marked by a bow that was the wrong draw length and size. The struggle, the frustration, the missed shots, all the growing pains that come with owning an ill-fitting bow - Casey knew these obstacles all too well.

Determined to overcome these challenges, Casey Votruba made it his mission to master the art of archery. His unyielding dedication and love for the sport led him to not only become a skilled archer but also a reputable figure on the professional circuit, specifically in ASA shoots. Archery, the great outdoors, and hunting became not just passions but a way of life.

In 2004, a shared dream between Casey and his wife, Celeste, blossomed into the reality of Votruba Archery. It was born out of a singular vision - to ensure that no one who entered their shop would endure the same struggles Casey faced in his early archery journey. Votruba Archery became the answer to those who sought expertise, guidance, and equipment tailored to their individual needs and budgets.

At Votruba Archery, we are committed to ensuring you not only leave our shop with the perfect bow but with the knowledge, confidence, and setup required to enjoy the full splendor of archery. We're more than a store; we're your archery partner for life, with a shared love for the sport that binds us to the outdoors.

A PROUD FAMILY LEGACY

At Votruba Archery, we're more than just a team; we're a family of archery enthusiasts dedicated to providing you with the best possible experience. A big part of our archery family is Augustus Collins, also known as Gus, or sometimes even "Gus Gus" by our littlest fans. Gus's journey in archery began at a young age, setting the stage for the expertise and passion he brings to our team.

Gus picked up a bow when he was just 10 years old. His fascination with bows and arrows opened the door to a lifelong love for the sport and it was clear that this passion would be a guiding force in his life.

In 2013, Gus and his dad, accompanied by his grandpa, took their first step into the doors of Votruba Archery. Three years later, at the age of 16, Gus officially joined the Votruba Archery family as part of our team.

Gus's presence at Votruba Archery has been more than just that of an employee; he's become a regular staple in our story. His dedication to the sport and the craft of archery is evident in every interaction. With a genuine desire to help people in any way possible, Gus approaches his work with an open mind and a wealth of knowledge.

When Gus is at the helm, rest assured that your bow is in the hands of someone who treats it with the same care and attention as if it were his own. His commitment to ensuring that every customer receives the best possible service is unwavering. He's a testament to the values we hold dear at Votruba Archery - quality, expertise, and a deep-rooted passion for archery.

CELESTE VOTRUBA

Casey's wife and owner of Mac and Row, LLC

Our Journey - Where Love, Archery, and Family Unite

At Votruba Archery, our story is one of love, passion, and the unwavering pursuit of our archery dreams. Our journey began with a chance meeting in 2002 when Celeste Votruba crossed paths with Casey at a Home Depot in Overland Park, Kansas, where they were both employed. Little did they know what their love story would become.

Early in their dating journey, Casey introduced Celeste to the world of archery, taking her to the range and igniting a shared passion. It wasn't long before Casey surprised Celeste with a bow of her own, symbolizing their shared commitment to this incredible sport.

As their love grew, the couple began discussing marriage, their future, and the life they wanted to build together. Among their dreams was the idea of owning an archery shop, a vision that was born during a conversation in Casey's trusty Dodge Dakota truck one evening after work.

Casey and Celeste eventually moved to the Sabetha area, close to Celeste's hometown, and tied the knot in December 2003. With a bold vision and a dash of entrepreneurial spirit, they decided to use their first tax return to buy archery equipment and bows, launching Votruba Archery right out of their home in Sabetha, Kansas.

One year later, the opportunity to purchase the American Legion buildings in Fairview, Kansas arose. Celeste, with unwavering determination, secured the buildings from a gracious gentleman, Mr. Kirby Dierking, who played a crucial role in their journey.

In the early days, Casey worked two jobs, balancing his role as a tool professional for Rigid, Ryobi, and Milwaukee power tools while running Votruba Archery. Celeste, equally committed to their vision, assisted at the archery shop and pursued her own educational endeavors.

Fast forward, and Casey dedicated himself full-time to the archery shop, while Celeste embarked on a career in the corporate world for over a decade. Their journey was marked by milestones, including the arrival of three beautiful daughters - Mackinley in 2012, followed by Rowan in 2018, and River in 2022.

Today, Celeste is not only a devoted mom to their three wonderful daughters but also a thriving business owner. She established "Mac and Row" in 2020, which is located right next door to the archery shop. At Mac and Row, she crafts custom Yeti tumblers, which can be found at Votruba Archery. Her personalized engravings include company logos, scriptures, kids' pictures, names, and much more. Celeste is passionate about connecting with customers and sharing in their stories.
